Crimson Winged Grass Dragon (FOR SALE) by kr1st1naa
Featured by pinkythepink
Description
Decided to make this guy from my Felt Designs for Sale gallery. The details took a lot more time than I'd assumed. But I LOVE that little cutie!
Needle felted on wire, painted + sealed Super Sculpey horns and spikes, plastic toy eyes, pre-made felt sheet wings. Fully poseable, although I advise not to pose my felt dolls too often, as it can make the wool fuzzy and weaken its wire armature over time. Details on wings are glued and can begin to fall off on rough posing. My felt dolls are not toys, they are art.
Length 13.5 cm
Wingspan 22 cm
Grass Dragons are small winged reptiles the size of a young rat. They are called so, because one could easily miss it hiding in grass. They can live in various environments, making their homes in tight spaces like underground holes, cracks in rocks and in the walls or under the roofs of less used buildings. Despite being small, grass dragons are believed to have the intelligence of a crow and can therefore be trained as housepets, although doing so is not advised, since they can breathe out small bursts of fire when startled. In the wild they use it to attack both predators and prey, the latter being mostly insects. Grass dragons can have a wide variety of colors and markings. Wild grass dragons are shy and difficult to encounter, but it is said that if you do see one, something nice will happen to you - the more colorful the dragon, the better.
